Our Story

Our story began in 2020 with a simple question ‘What if..?’ Question after question we came to the solution for carbon negative lorries producing electricity rather than consuming fossil fuels. We believe that it will bring positives to electricity bills and reduce total UK fuel consumption.

Just like many businesses in the UK, we would like to contribute to reaching our ambitious global emission reduction targets. We believe that we have a fantastic and viable solution to create a low-carbon sustainable future that we can help make a reality.

What Is It About?

Climate Stabilization

Our goal is to help reduce emissions. Action must be taken quickly – the Amazon rainforest for example today emits more carbon than it absorbs! Emissions year on year are still increasing – and our vehicle will help stop this.

Renewable Energy

Replacing fossil fuels with renewable energy brings cleaner, safer and more cost-efficient way to power our lives.  We want to not just be a part of the transition to a fossil- free economy – we want to lead the transition.

Change of Transportation

Commercial HGVs represent about 10% of total global emissions. Current electric ‘ZEVs’ have very little penetration into the HGV sector because of their exorbitant costs – we can change that.

Making a difference

Our vehicles can lead to electricity generation – not simply charging from the grid, which does not reduce the carbon footprint. With this introduction, our vehicles will be carbon negative, making a huge impact to road transportation.

With Your Help, We Can Make The World a Better Place

Only by transforming our infrastructure and physical economy, by changing the way we invest, we innovate, we prioritize, can we can meet our climate goals and reach net-zero emissions by 2050.

Our Mission & Approach

Our project will produce a carbon negative 44ft trailer that will incorporate four proven, extant technologies in renewables and powertrain technology. We will create a HGV trailer with a renewable fuel system and powertrain technology bringing together best-in-class technology.

This innovation we believe has the opportunity to change the outlook of global warming. The potential to change how we view the future of fuel emissions and renewables by viably creating a zero-emission 44tn trailer in only a matter of a few short years. This innovation will bring huge fuel savings to the $800bn per annum haulage sector and feasibly allow hauliers to generate income from electricity generation. Downstream effects will be to render most diesel generators obsolete, a $16bn per annum industry.

TARGET t

The goal is to limit global warming to to 1.5 degrees Celsius, compared to pre-industrial levels.

Countries

Governments of 124 countries across the world have made commitments to reach net zero emissions.

Companies

400 out of 2,000 largest companies in the world jooined the fight against global warming.

billion tonns

On average the world adds 51 billion tonns of greenhouse gases to the atmospere every year.

“The next 1,000 unicorns won’t be search engines or social media companies, they’ll be sustainable, scalable innovators – startups that help the world decarbonize and make the energy transition affordable for all consumers. We need to be honest about the fact that green products often come at a higher cost today. Bringing down this green premium will be essential for an orderly and just transition. With the unprecedented amount of capital looking for new ideas, incumbents need to be clear about their pathway succeeding in a net zero economy.”

A Letter from the Board

At Only Intelligence we are optimistic about achieving the ambitious target set out in the Paris Agreement. We are proud to be working on such an exciting project with such fantastic prospects to be able to develop the world’s first truly green, zero tail-pipe emission Heavy Goods Vehicle and we believe in our ability to make a huge impact on the haulage industry in the UK and around the world.

Road haulage contributes to approximately 14% of global annual emissions; these emissions also happen to be some of the most harmful to the environment containing pollutants such as nitrogen dioxide and sulphur dioxide. We are certain that to meet the EU’s GHG emission reduction target for 2030, people and companies should act now.

Facts that the Amazon rainforest now emits more CO2 than it consumes are hard to escape for our future, so there is no time to waste to begin reducing emissions now. We believe we shall successfully create our zero-emission HGV in under 36 months, but it may take years to mass produce our trailers internationally so that it has an impact globally. That is why it is so important that we start implementing our project at once.

We also believe in making a difference straight away in order to ensure a prosperous future. Our technology has the capacity to create a considerable number of jobs and create a large new export market for the UK. Furthermore, many of our vehicle components have the ability to be created modularly in the UK at high volumes and assembled at a single plant, creating jobs with great job security for many British workers both now and in the future.

I personally believe that every choice we make has an impact. That’s why I am committed to developing and providing solutions that protect our planet and the people living on it.
