OPEN · for builders
Release a project to OPEN
Give your AI-made software to everyone and build it with a team. Releasing is free. The first release goes through the same checks as the store before anyone can download it.
What can be released
- It runs. Someone else can build and start it from your instructions.Unlike the store, it doesn't need to be finished. Teams are here to finish it.
- At least 70% of the code was written by AI.The same rule as the store, checked the same way.
- You have the right to release all of it.Code from other people stays under its own licence and goes in a THIRD-PARTY list.
- No passwords, keys or private data are anywhere in it, including the git history.
What happens next
- Security scan of the source and any builds.
- Licence check: we compare every dependency's licence with the one you chose.
- Provenance audit and an AI functional test, as for the store.
- Moderator sign-off, then the project and its workspace go live.
Once released under OPEN 1.0, the project can't be taken back. Take your time over the licence.
OPEN isn't accepting releases yet: the licence is in legal review
- Security scan of the source and builds: usually within an hour.
- Licence check against your THIRD-PARTY list and lockfile.
- Provenance audit and AI functional test.
- Moderator sign-off, then your workspace opens and the project appears on OPEN.
